- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order to Qiagen, Inc., 27220 Turnberry Lane, Suite 200, Valencia, CA 91355-1005, for a quantity of one (1) EZ1 Advanced XL, Installation of one (1) EZ1 Advanced XL, one (1) EZ1 DSP Virus Kit, and one (1) EZ1 Advanced XL DSP Virus Card. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy the Agency's requirements because the instrument has an FDA cleared protocol that can be used in conjunction with the CDC FDA cleared real-time RT-PCR assay for influenza. No solicitation is being issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals, however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which, if received by the response date, shall be considered by the Agency. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government.
