- AMENDMENT TO PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: Solicitation number change - The solicitation number for this requirement was W912DW-11-R-0057 with Presolicitation notice issued on 8/15/11. The estimated cost range for this project is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The Seattle District, US Army Corps of Engineers requires maintenance clamshell dredging of approximately 150,000 cubic yards of sediment from the Duwamish River Upper Turning Basin and downstream reach (Station 275+56 to 242+00). All dredged material shall be disposed at Elliot Bay Disposal Site or beneficially reused at a nearby EPA Superfund site as capping material. The Contractor is to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to accomplish the work. Estimated Award Date of the Contract is 30 September 2011 with a 31 January 2012 completion date. This project is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction Except, Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities with a size standard of $20.0 million. For the purposes of this procurement, "To be considered small for the purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40% of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern." To be eligible for contract award a firm must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the solicitation will be available for download no earlier than 15 days following the posting of this synopsis. Pursuant to FAR, the response date of the solicitation is no earlier than 30 days from the date of the solicitation release date. The solicitation due date will be noted on the solicitation at the time of issue. There is no technical information available until the issue of the solicitation via the Internet. A contract award may or may not result from this solicitation. All costs associated with compiling proposals are at the contractor's own expense. Issue of the solicitation will be in electronic format only. No disks or hard copy will be available.
