- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) have a requirement to procure the following products manufactured by Denton Vacuum: 1. Bench Top Turbo IV - Table Top High Vacuum Thin Film Deposition System - Quantity (1) each 2. SQM160 Thickness Monitor - Quantity (1) each 3. 500W Heat - Quantity (1) each The lab at the NICHD has the need to procure the BTT IV to produce thin carbon and metal films for sample preparation in electron microscopy. The lab is currently using a similar model that has served the needs of the lab extremely well. The BTT IV uses a power source that is specifically designed for the metal evaporation, therefore not stretching the power source a bit. The level of power source for the metal evaporation is an important factor for the lab and their work. The BTT IV is more powerful than other evaporator who uses the same power source for carbon and metal which can stretch the power source. The BTT IV provides several different modes of operation, e.g. glow-discharge, evaporation of material from different types of material from different types of material (carbon rod or yarn as well as heat evaporation of metals). Optional equipment providing capability offer sputter coating for scanning electron microscopy is also available. Basis for Award: Offerors must provide descriptive literature or other material that demonstrates their offer meets the forgoing requirements with their RFQ response. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer fully meets the requirements of the solicitation and provides the best value to the Government.
