Description

NOTICE OF INTENT: The VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach FL intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Laerdal Medical Corporation, 167 Myers Corners Road, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590-3827 to procure a SimMan 3G Human Patient Simulator for the Gainesville Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608-1911. This is a notice of intent for Sole Source procurement under Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). The associated NAICS Code is 326199. This is a Notice of Intent and is not a request for competitive proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than noon, September 9, 2011 and all responses will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
