Title: Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency Review of Reported Amounts for Selected Financial Statement Accounts, Assertion process and Internal Control over Financial Reporting Support Solicitation Number: D11PS20017 Place of Contract Performance: Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), National Capital Region, Indianapolis Synopsis: The scope of this effort is to provide financial and accounting support for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Cheif Financial Officer (CFO). The work performed shall be in conformance with all Government regulations and policies incuding the Federal Acquisition Regulations and the DFARS. (Note this is just a sample of tasks):Description of Services:The contractor shall provide review of reported amounts for selected financial statement accounts, assertion process and internal control over financial reporting support for example: 1) performing audit readiness activites; assessment of internal controls over financial reporting for financial items; 3) performing an ongoing review of DARPA audit readiness; and 4) perform limited scope reviews of Fund Balance with Treasury; The contractor staff must acquire and maintain a minimum of a secret level clearance to meet the essential requirements for working within DARPA and the surrounding government environment.The Statement of Work (SOW) in the Request for Proposals (RFP) provides a complete description of services. The Acquisition Services Directorate, Division III intends to award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract. On behalf of DARPA, a five (5) year (one base year plus four (4) option years) contract is contemplated. The estimated ceiling for this contract is $7,000,000.00. Public comments/questions on this effort will be accepted through September 7, 2011.
