- Description
- On or about 12 September 2011, the Southern Regional Contracting Office - West intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Motek Medical BV of The Netherlands for a CAREN (Computer Assisted Rehabilitation ENvironment) System Upgrade for the currently-installed CAREN System at the Military Performance Laboratory, Center for the Intrepid at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. This is a one-time buy. However, all responsible concerns may submit a quote or capability statement, which will be considered by the agency. The quote shall include information of sufficient detail to demonstrate that the proposed system possesses the salient characteristics of the CAREN system, as described below: - System must fit within a 10m x 10m x 8m space - System must provide a full, 360 degree simulation for complete immersion into virtual reality - System must have a dual-belt instrumented treadmill that mimics the motion of the virtual reality simulation - System must have a minimum of 24 cameras in a real-time motion capture system - System must have a minimum of 120 degree screen projection (peripheral vision) and surround sound INTERESTED PARTIES MUST RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE ON OR BEFORE 7 SEPTEMBER 2011, 12:00 PM CST. AWARD WILL BE MADE ON OR AFTER THIS DATE.
