- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) intends to award a sole source contract to Mark Logic Corporation located in San Carlos, CA for annual support renewals for MarkLogic Server and Processor Production licenses. The requirement is for annual support renewals for: MarkLogic Server Enterprise Edition Base Server Production, MarkLogic Server Enterprise Edition Additional Processor Production, MarkLogic Server Alerting Base Server Production, and MarkLogic Server Alerting Additional Processor Production. The MarkLogic software is the basis for the DigiTop Navigator database search and alerts service. As the primary platform within DigiTop for database searching and the provision of current awareness alerts for scientific literature, Navigator is a key part of NAL's service to USDA and needs to be kept up to date and reliably accessible to users. This requirement is for updates to the currently installed MarkLogic software system and the annual maintenance for software licenses is the only product that is compatible with the currently owned software and the only product that can meet the government's needs. As the producer and developer of this proprietary software, MarkLogic is the sole source that can meet the government's needs. Anticipated Date of Award: 09/07/2011
