Courier Services Solicitation Number: TIRNE-11-Q-00076 Agency: Department of the Treasury Office: Internal Revenue Service Northeast Area Field Procurement Operations Notice Type: Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Posted Date: Response Date: Archiving Policy: Original Set Aside: N/A Set Aside: Total Small Business Classification Code: R – Professional, administrative, and management support services NAICS Code: 492 – Couriers and Messengers/492110 – Couriers and Express Delivery Services Synopsis: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is 100% Small Business set-aside. This solicitation document incorporates all mandatory commercial item provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-53 dated August 4, 2011. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 492110, and the small business size standard is 1500 employees. Award is contingent upon the availability of funds. The Internal Revenue Service is soliciting to acquire dependable courier service to make daily pickups and deliveries for locations in the Boston, MA vicinity. The contractor shall provide all labor, incidental materials, and other services necessary to render services under the resulting contract. Offerors are invited to submit their quotations via e-mail at susan.k.tsui@irs.gov by September 6, 2011 2 PM Eastern Standard Time. Only e-mailed requests for additional information will be accepted at susan.k.tsui@irs.gov through August 31, 2011 2 PM Eastern Standard Time. Vendors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at the time the requirement is to be awarded will not be considered. Vendors may register with CCR by accessing www.ccr.gov.
