Description
VAMC Louisville, KY: The VA Network Contracting Activity, VISN 9, is seeking potential sources to provide hemodialysis, sustained low efficiency dialysis (SLED) and apheresis services to inpatients at the Robley Rex VAMC upon request of VA staff nephrologists. To assist the VA Nursing staff with the continued care of patients undergoing SLED therapy, the Contractor's nursing staff will be on-call 24 hours per day for consultation and be available to return to the VAMC should an emergent or unforeseen incident occur. In carrying out its responsibilities hereunder, the Contractor shall provide all appropriate equipment, including mobile reverse osmosis, apheresis, and peritoneal dialysis machines. The treatment will be provided in accordance with the VA Physician's orders. The Contractor will provide initial and periodic in-service training to VAMC Nursing Staff for sustained low efficiency dialysis (SLED) as approved by the VAMC Nursing Service, assuring that the VA staff is competent to operate and monitor the dialysis machines in the absence of the Contractor's nurse. All employees of the Contractor who provide services to the Robley Rex VAMC as described hereunder shall have a full and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States. The Contractor is required to provide nursing care for all services. Under the direct supervision of the licensed registered nurse, Certified Dialysis Technicians may provide assistance. The contract period will be for one (1) year from the date of contract award, with four (4) one-year renewal options to be exercised at the discretion of the government. Past performance data for similar size facilities, multiple locations which demonstrate your capability to satisfactorily execute a contract to provide primary medical care services as described in this notice. Data shall include customer name, address, contract number, and point of contact information (name, phone number, and e-mail address.) 4. The business size and business socioeconomic category; such as Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business, Hub Zone Small Business, etc. Please note, all SDVOSB's and VOSB's must be verified by the office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) prior to receiving any award. Interested parties should respond not later than September 6, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. Central Time. This sources sought notice is to assist the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System in identifying an appropriate acquisition strategy only. Written communication received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining current market capabilities for the services identified within this notice. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced and posted on this website at a later date, and interested parties must respond to the solicitation to be considered for award. This notice does not commit the government to contract for any supply or service. The government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this source sought notice. Do not contact medical center staff in regards to this requirement, as they are not authorized discuss this matters related to this procurement action.
