- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement for an engineering change to incorporate the Mode 5 capability into the AN/APX-111(V) Combined Interrogator-Transponder (CIT) Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) system for the F/A-18 A/A+/C/C+/D. This is an extension to the F/A-18E/F and EA-18G effort currently on contract. The change will add the integration of Mode 5 CIT into the F/A-18 A/A+/C/C+/D aircraft. Boeing is the designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft in its various configurations; and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise required to accomplish this effort.
