Description

Synopsis: Dated: 30 August 2011 COMPETITION FOR EXISTING LEASE LOCATION AMOUNT: Approximately 16,143 NUSF of Office space. LOCATION: The VA currently occupies 9,999 NUSF of Office Space located at 3450 South 4th Street Trafficway in Leavenworth, Kansas. The Department of Veterans Affairs plans to negotiate an expansion for an additional 6,144 NUSF at this location based on economic, mission, and other factors. The VA will relocate only after consideration of economic and other factors if more advantageous to the Government, including relocation cost, IT infrastructure, four year lease buyout and tenant improvement to new location. REQUIRED: All services, supplies, utilities, partitioning and required tenant alterations are to be provided as part of the rental consideration. Space must be ready for occupancy no later than January 1, 2012. TERM: Lease term will be for nine years with the Government having termination rights after four years by giving 180 days written notice to the lessor at anytime on or after the fourth year. To be considered space must be within 1 mile radius of the Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center in Leavenworth, Kansas.
