- THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE AWARDED BASED ON AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICIATION. NO FURTHER SOLICIATION WILL BE ISSUED. Only Cisco products are guaranteed to work with other Cisco hardware. From time to time, we have to upgrade the internal components of the current hardware which changes connectivity. Not having all Cisco products could mean losing connectivity to non-Cisco devices after an upgrade. These upgrades must be done with Cisco products. 1) FAR Statutory Authority Cited: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c )(2 ), FAR 6.302-1, Brand Name Only and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Reason for Authority Cited: The use of the Cisco products is essential to the Government's requirements, thereby precluding consideration of a product manufactured or installed by another company:Identify the BRAND NAME and source to acquire the item(s) or supplies - Brand Name: Cisco Systems, Inc 2) BRAND NAME description to meet the Park's needs: The Alaska Regional Office (as well as the National Park Service as a whole) has a deployed infrastructure of Cisco Switches, Routers, Access Points and Firewalls. Any other product would void any warranty or ability for Cisco to repair our equipment should damage occur from a third party item. 4) Other Factors to support BRAND NAME only: The National Park Service as a whole supports the purchase and use of Cisco System products for network infrastructures. 5) Technical Certification: "I certify all possible research to find a competitive Cisco Product has been exhausted within the time limits available to meet the assigned priority.
