- Notice of Intent to Sole Source with MSDSpro LLC. Renewal of an Online Electronic Subscription for MSDSpro Software and Master Chemical Data Subscription going out to MSDSpro, LLC. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, but merely notification of SSA's Intent to renew, on a sole-source basis, a firm fixed price purchase order to MSDSpro LLC, for continued access to their online electronic subscription entitled, "MSDSpro Software and Master Chemical Data." Under FAR Part 6.302.1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Sources Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. MSDSpro, LLC, is only available from its producer and manufacturer and not through dealers or distributors. The period of performance will be for one year beginning 09/30/2011 through 09/29/2012. Health and Safety professionals are required to ensure employee safety and maintain OSHA compliance, while reducing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Chemical Inventory management barriers and costs. Using MSDSpro for our building locations is a key resource for OFM's operations. The deliverables that are provided by MSDSpro are all software and database CD's, updated instruction software and document and technical support. The subscription also includes current contact information to over 23,000.00 manufacturers along with Master Chemical Data which includes an index of over 67,000 chemicals and related regulatory flags that is integrated with MSDSpro software. This requirement is utilizing procedures in the FAR Part 12 in conjunction with procedures in FAR Part 13. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by SSA not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of SSA. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government does not intend to pay for information provided in response to this publication. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. If no affirmative responses are received within 2 business days, in accordance with FAR 13-106-1(b)(1) negotiations will be conducted with MSDSpro, LLC as the only source and a purchase order will be issued without any additional notices being posted.
