Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 18 Network Contracting Activity intends negotiate on a sole source basis with Blood Systems, Inc. 5210 E. Oak St, Scottsdale, AZ 85257 on behalf of West Texas VA Health Care System, New Mexico VA Health Care System, Phoenix VA Health Care System and Northern Arizona VA Health Care System an interim contract for the procurement of blood, blood product and apheresis services. Period of performance is established for October 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011, with two 1-month Option Periods. Blood Systems, Inc. shall provide blood, blood products and apheresis services as needed by each individual Medical Center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The North American Industry Classification System code is 621991 with a size standard of $10 million. This sole source acquisition meets the condition of FAR 6.302-1 and is not a request for competitive quotes, however, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirement may submit a capability statement no later than September 9, 2011 to Point of Contact Kristin Tanner, Contract Specialist, VHA/VISN 18 Network Contracting Activity, 500 US Highway 89 North, Prescott, AZ 86313 or Kristin.tanner@va.gov with reference to VA-258-11-RQ-0671. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement and will be at the sole discretion of the Government.
