- This is a notice of intent to award Sole Source procurement services to refurbish the Power Supply (NSN 6130-01-116-0275), as required for the Recapitalization (RECAP) of the PATRIOT Missile System, to Rantec Power Systems, Inc., 1173 Los Olivos Avenue, Los Osos, CA 93402. The proposed contract is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, entitled "Only one Responsible Source and no other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements". The Government does not possess sufficient documentation to acquire this service from other than the current source. A technical data package, which defines all engineering and quality requirements is not available and cannot be provided. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 7 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
