- Description
- Provide professional Architectural A/E Design Services necessary for various projects at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, Hines IL. Services include Architectural Design Services to perform site investigations, analysis, design, calculations, cost estimates, preparation of working drawings, specifications, and construction period services. The A/E shall also involve the consulting services of certified industrial hygienist services for the identification of and planned removal processes of any asbestos and/or possible mold issues which may be encountered in the individual Task Orders which will be issued. VA intends to award a contract for a period of one (1) year with two (2) additional option periods of one (1) year each. Total fees paid under the resultant contract shall not exceed $1,999,999.00 for all three years. The Government is uncertain as to the number of delivery orders that will be placed against the contract during the term of the contract. Award of individual work orders is contingent upon project funding. This requirement is set aside for Small Business firms. Area of consideration is restricted to firms located within a 100 mile radius of VA Hines. Selection criteria will be based on: (1) specialized experience and technical competence of the firm (2) specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project, (3) Maintaining project schedules and project budgets; (4) Knowledge in design and construction requirements; (5) Cost control effectiveness and (6) SDVOSB/VOSB status. A/E firms, which meet the requirements listed in this announcement, are invited to submit two (2) copies of the completed Standard Form (SF) 330 no later than COB October 4, 2011. No bid packages are available. This is not a Request For Proposal (RFP).
