- Base Access Instructions & Affidavit AAC/PKOBB, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price contract for Cleaning and Repair of the 33 MXS Paint Booth. This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) number F1T2AB1161A001. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811310 with a size standard of $7 million. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. The requirement consists of (but is not limited to) the following products/services: Stripping all paint residue from the floor Replacing all three stage of filtration in the booth Replacing all exhaust fan drive belts and cleaning the fan blades Replace corroded booth hinges/hardware where required Replacing door seals Recoating the interior of the booth including floors. Inspect the compressor, air dryer and air purifier for serviceability and repair as required Installing new explosive proof light bulbs and light safety covers where required -- A Site Visit will be held on 12 Sep 2011 at 0900 (central time) at the 33rd Maintenance Facility, Bldg 1386, at Eglin AFB, FL. Directions to the Site Visit on Eglin AFB entering the East Gate from Valparaiso, FL: Follow Eglin Blvd around flight line Turn Right at an F-15 model onto Nomad Way into the 33rd Fighter Wing complex Continue until you see the Fire Department on your left Turn Right when you reach the Fire Department The fourth building on your left is Bldg 1352. We will meet there and walk to Bldg 1386. See Clause: AFFARS 5352.242-9000, Contractor Access to Air Force Installations (attached) for base access instructions. As stated in the clause, Affidavit must be submitted to 96 SFS at least 3 days prior to the site visit. Please provide Base Pass Request letter to the Contract Specialist at least 3 days prior to the site visit. The following are strictly enforced on Eglin AFB: speed limit, no texting while driving, and cell phones must be hands free. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-53.
