- Description
- The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a Screening Information Request (SIR) or Request for Proposal (RFP) of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will NOT pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing a response to this market survey. Therefore, any costs associated with the market survey submission is solely at the expense of any interested firms. This market survey does not represent a commitment to issue a solicitation or award a contract. No evaluation letters or results will be issued to respondents. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from large businesses, small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and 8(a) certified firms, capable of providing Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Furniture Procurement. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes for this effort are 337127 - Institutional Furniture Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees; 337214 - Office Furniture (except Wood) Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees; 337215 - Showcase, Partition, Shelving, and Locker Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees; and 238390 - Other Building Finishing Contractors, with a dollar value of $12.M. The FAA is willing to consider any other NAICS codes the vendor community deems appropriate for this survey. Responses to this market survey will be used to determine the availability of technically capable and otherwise responsible firm(s) that would have the capability to fulfill furniture requirement needs and ability to support regional new construction, renovation, and lease/design-build projects on a nation-wide basis for the FAA. FAA has been striving toward improving the overall sustainability and environmental impact of all buildings within its inventory. FAA is seeking a vendor to not onlypurchase furniture but to have the installation capability as well on a nation-wide basis. Firm(s) would be responsible to provide labor, equipment, transportation, materials, and disposal of any and all old furniture and debris associated in order to furnish and install new furniture. FAA's geographic area includes all 50 states with nine (9) regional offices. This market survey focuses on the service capability specifically located at the FAA headquarters in Washington, DC and the following regional offices. The nine (9) regional offices are located in Anchorage, AK, Los Angeles, CA, Atlanta, GA, De Plains, IL, Burlington, MA, Kansas City, MO, Jamaica, NY, Fort Worth, TX, and Renton, WA. At this time the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8 (a) Program. All businesses regardless of size are encouraged to respond.
