Response 1As stipulated in the RFI, the Demonstration Requirements include: Upload a Terramodel site plan, Demonstrate GPS Automatic Blade Control, Demonstrate Laser Automatic Blade Control, Demonstrate Sonic Tracer Automatic Blade Control, Demonstrate Cross Slope capability including cross slope calculations and elevation control. Vendors may demonstrate additional capabilities if time permits. Technological differences are not a focus of the product demonstration. Question 2Will each vendor be required to perform all applications at the same location and how will the ability to perform each be weighted? Response 2All tasks will be performed at the same location. The Program office will observe whether the tasks are successfully demonstrated. Tasks will not be weighted. Question 3The RFI indicates graders, dozers and install kits will be provided, what is included in the install kit? Response 3The install kit consists of the blade control components currently installed on USMC 120M graders and 850J dozers. Question 7Do we supply our own base station to run the machines or are we expected to work off an existing setup? Response 7Vendors are expected to provide their own base stations and supporting equipment to complete the demonstration with the exception of the government furnished equipment (GFE) identified in the RFI. Question 8Will we need to create our own localization file? Response 8A response to this question is being considered and will be provided during a future update. Question 9Will we need to operate the machines for the demonstration or will you want us to train your operators? Response 9Vendors need to provide their own operator(s). Question 10Is it possible to weld on these machines or must everything bolt on? Response 10Welding will not be permitted.
