- Description
- Site Visit for Bldg 450, Rm 209 A site visit for Solicitation F3ST401213A001 was conducted on 09 Sep at 0900. The questions and answers and comments below were discussed at the site visit. Q: Where are the cables from the instructor station going to be plugged in at? A:They will be plugged into the wall next to the instructor station. Q: Where would the plugs be for the SMART boards? A: If plugs are needed, the facility staff of Bldg. 450 will be notified and they will put plugs where they are needed. Q: What will the Instructor station look like? A: The instructor station will be made of wood and have only shelves. A rack system will not be used. The instructor station will be government furnished and will have an existing government computer and laptop on it. Q: Does the customer also need a fixed screen as worded in Task #1? A: No fixed screen is needed. The wording is meant to indicate the customer needs two SMART boards. Q: Is BlueTooth an option to connect the SMART boards and other things? A: No. BlueTooth cannot be an option because is does have a radio frequency. A radio frequency may not be used in Bldg. 450. Comments:  A custom plate will need to be made to connect all wiring/cables from the instructor station. This will be plugged into the wall.  Sympodiums are no longer made and the SMART board may not be made in the 109" size. The list given was ony suggested sources. The contractor may design their own system and use different items as long as the items or either equal or greater to the system the customer is needing. A 109" SMART board is not required. Another size/brand can be accepted.  A wall will be constructed that will have plugs in for the instructor station. This wall will make the room dismensions roughly 26'x26'.  The control touch panel used should provide the opportunity for an upgrade/add-on later to include system lighting.  The customer asks that no wiring is put over ballast because of interference and base code.  Each SMART board will have one projector. This is a total of two projectors and two SMART boards.  The projectors provided should allow for wiring diagrams to be easily seen/read as this room is used for training and training includes wiring diagrams. If there are any further questions, please e-mail or call A1C Laura Pecora at (618) 256-9251 or laura.pecora@scott.af.mil. Clarification/answers will be given to the best of our ability.
