Description
Amendment 001 is issued to respond to questions as follows: Q1. Do you require a telemetry system to be provided as part of the RFQ that will actively call and retrieve data from remote monitoring sites using: a. Standard Modem Communication Wire and Wireless, Poll and Receive b. RadioModem Communications, Poll and Receive c. DDS DCP Satellite Communications (Wallops, ls), Receive d. TCP/IP Communications Receive e. FTP Communications Poll f. With support for multiple data logger types? Or, do you expect that the proposed solutions will be required to simply retrieve files locally from an existing telemetry system on-site? A1. The original idea was that the system would retrieve files locally from an existing telemetry system on-site. If the contractor wants to include it in their proposal, it should be listed as a separate line item. The agency will perform a technical evaluation to decide if the existing telemetry system needs to be upgraded. The pricing for any proposed telemetry system needs to include costs for a receiving dish, ground station, any other software/hardware and installation needed to store decoded transmissions into a database. Presently, our system receives and decodes GOES transmissions at the Headquarters building. It also polls GOES DDS servers directly via internet. Decoded data are stored in a database for polling and processing. Any new system must provide at least those capabilities. It would also be helpful to list any functionality related to alerts and QA/QC based on incoming GOES transmissions.
