- The NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center, Puget Sound is soliciting for a firm, fixed price supply type contract to be negotiated on a full and open basis for various pieces of Firemen Safety Equipment in support of Commander Naval Region Japan 94349-0051. The Contractor shall provide: boots, ventilating hoods, gloves, and crash helmets. All items are listed as brand name or equal. Offeror is required to provide information for each product including manufacturer, brand name and/or part number and model number, and country of manufacture with their offer. Delivery is required to be within 45 days after contract award with inspection and acceptance FOB Origin and shipping to Tracy, CA 95376 for transshipment to Japan. The acquisition will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable evaluation. The solicitation will be issued on or about 09 September 2011 with a closing date of 14 September 2011. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price supply type contract. Prospective offerors not CCR-registered should immediately begin the registration process. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO web site: www.neco.navy.mil under Business Opportunities under solicitation number N00406-11-T-0931. The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO web site. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror ™s inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site. Telephone and facsimile requests will not be honored. Electronic submission of proposals via NECO is NOT available for this procurement.
