- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District is soliciting for quotes to provide the manufacture and delivery of metal safety grating for the replacement of the wire mesh over the service bridges at the following locks and dams 4, 5, 5A, 6, 7, 8, and 9 on the Upper Mississippi River in the St. Paul District. The solicitation number #W912ES-11-T-0110 is issued as a 100% small business set-aside. Quotes must be for all seven locks and dams. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12, and evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 13. The contractors are encouraged to visit each site prior to submitting their quote. The Government will provide the contractor access to the Locks. All work shall be done in accordance with the Scope of Work and that is necessary to complete the work. The contractor shall supply and deliver the specified grating materials to each site. Materials shall be delivered to the Government no later than 1 December 2011. Award will be made to the offeror with the ability to fulfill the aggregate of the requirements. The resultant contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract. The solicitation is set-aside 100% for small business concerns and the size standard is 500 employees. The associated NAICS Code is 332323. The offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry data base (CCR) located at www.ccr.gov prior to award. A determination by the Government to not award based on the responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government.
