- _________________________________________________ ANNOUNCEMENTS -09 Sep 2011: A draft Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Contaminated Human remains Pouch (CHRP) program has been posted for industry review and feedback at this site: https://www3.natick.army.mil/chrp.html. Details regarding CHRP are provided below. _________________________________________________ PURPOSE The purpose of the CHRP is to provide for the safe intra-theater recovery, transportation, and handling of human remains contaminated with chemical, biological, radiological (CBR), or Toxic Industrial Material (TIM) hazards. BACKGROUND The CHRP project is intended to provide standardized, joint intra-theater capabilities to safely recover and transport human remains contaminated with Chemical, Biological (CB) or Toxic Industrial Material (TIM) hazards and to potentially support further movement and final disposition. The CHRP is a project with participation from multiple services. The Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD) is the Milestone Decision Authority (MDA). The Joint Project Manager for Protection (JPM P) manages and the CHRP Project Management Office (PMO) executes the project. The PMO has established a core staff to manage this effort and is using Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure issues are addressed across all functional disciplines. Service representation is included on the IPTs to ensure Service unique issues and concerns are adequately addressed in the project planning and execution. VIRTUAL INDUSTRY DAY A draft solicitation has been posted at: https://www3.natick.army.mil/chrp.html, and is available for industry to review until Friday, September 23, 2011. Interested vendors are encouraged to submit their questions and feedback to the Government using the "Q & A Forum" section of that site. The Government will be responding throughout this time.
