Description

The National Cemetery Administration is soliciting offers under Solicitation No. VA-786-11-RP-0286 for the following: Contractor shall provide all labor, and materials necessary to perform inscription services on government owned granite niche covers, off-site at the contractor's facility for the Iowa Veteran Cemetery, located: 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adel, Iowa 50003. The Contractor shall use covers provided by the cemetery for the purpose of this contract. This service includes all labor and materials necessary to provide: This service includes all labor and materials necessary to provide and deliver, FOB Destination, inscriptions on Government Furnished blank granite niche covers (ref. technical drawing, BNC-1). The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to pickup up government-furnished niche covers and deliver completed covers to the cemetery. The contractor must use covers provided by the cemetery for the purpose of this contract. The contractor is responsible for pick-up, packaging to prevent damage during shipment, palletizing if necessary, handling, and returning niche covers to the cemetery. The cemetery is responsible only for making blank niche covers available to the contractor and is not responsible for packaging the blank niche covers. The contractor must regularly pickup blanks from the cemetery to ensure work is completed within the required performance period. The contractor is not responsible for unwrapping, uncrating, or installing completed niche covers. The contractor must give the Cemetery Director or his/her designated representative at least 24 hours advanced notice prior to arriving at the cemetery for either picking-up or delivering niche covers. Performance period: The contractor shall have twenty (20) calendar days as counted from the date following the day an order is sent to the contractor until the monuments are manufactured, inscribed, packaged and delivered to the cemetery address listed above. All work shall be performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings, terms and conditions of the contract. This acquisition is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS Code is 327991. Size standard of 500 Employees is applicable. Evaluation criteria for this award will be in the following descending order: 1) Price 2) Technical, 3) Past Performance. Electronic solicitations will be available for download from Federal Business Opportunities http://www.FedBizOpps.gov on or around September 14, 2011. Responses to the solicitation are due by 2:00 p.m., September 28, 2011. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments to the solicitation which is available at FedBizOpps.
