Description

The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with the University of Wisconsin System, Madison, WI for one (1) year of Tesla MRI scan services and one (1) year of MRI technician services for the Madison, WI VAMC research service. The University of Wisconsin Hospital has a sharing agreement with VAMC Madison research service to use the University of Wisconsin's Tesla MRI scanner and the services of the University's MRI technician to conduct research studies at the VAMC Madison, WI. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source will satisfy the agency's requirements. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and services, to the Contracting Officer by 2pm (CST) September 16, 2011. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 5000 W National Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53295 or via fax to 414-902-5511. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with the University of Wisconsin System.
