Description

Sole Source Justification for Tyndall VACIS Maintenance Award Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source purchase order for continued maintenance of VACIS The 325th Contracting Squadron hereby gives notice of its intent to award a sole source purchase order to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) for the acquisition of continued maintenance of the Vehicle and Cargo Inspection System (VACIS) already in place at Tyndall AFB. The resultant contract will be for a period of one year with three (1) year option periods. This announcement constitutes the only notice. The reference number is F4A0001251AQ01. The NAICS code for this procurement is 561621. The contractor shall provide the following: a comprehensive maintenance program providing supervision, technical support, on-site services, parts, supplies, packaging, transportation and shipments for the maintenance of the VACIS system. This program will include logistics support that maintains a comprehensive spares inventory to support the VACIS, a configuration management team to track systems and software design modifications and improvements, technical and operating manuals supplied to the user as applicable if the VACIS is upgraded. In addition to these items the vendor will provide helpdesk support to the user as needed during the length of the maintenance contract.
