Description

The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Delafield Road, Aspinwall, PA 15215, intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Noldus Information Technology, Inc., 1503 Edwards Ferry Road, Suite 201, Leesburg, VA, 20176, the purchase of their CatWalk XT 9.1 System in support of ongoing research for automatic analysis of neurobehavioral function in rodents. Features of this System will allow for automatic analysis and quantitative assessment of multiple parameters of neurobehavioral functions of rodents after ischemic brain injury. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations. Vendors who wish to identify their interest and ability to provide an alternative item that will meet the capabilities and functionality described above may notify the Contract Specialist, in writing, no later than September 15, 2011 at 4:00 PM EST. Such notification must include a complete description of the item(s) to be acquired including a descriptive narrative and full capabilities to support the requirement. Responses may be sent to Theresa.Pietrowski@va.gov. Upon receipt of any such notice from an interested vendor, the Contract Specialist will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole-source negotiations.
