- Intent to Sole Source Contract Award This notice is for informational purposes only. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to award a one base year and two option year sole source contract for nursing leadership development and membership in a nursing executive research body with The Advisory Board Company for the Jesse Brown VAMC, 820 South Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL 60612 under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy. Technical Scope: The Contractor is responsible for all supplies and services required to provide training in nursing leadership development and a membership for nursing administrators in research based content (Nursing Executive Center or like group). Leadership Development must incorporate a minimum of 3 half day participant workshops for no less than 50 VA employees and one executive retreat. Additionally, contractor must provide planning support including implementation and program training, assessments, classroom learning, annual workshop, and action and asynchronous Learning for the nursing staff of Jesse Brown VAMC. Membership for nursing administrators must include national membership meetings (and webcast access to the meeting), on-call expert consultation, research, data, and analytics on subjects pertinent to nursing management, live and on-demand web-conferences, onsite presentations, daily briefings available via internet, multimedia presentations. Content must minimally include the following topics: Nursing, Workforce, Performance improvement, Skill Development, and Quality. Content must come in the form of case studies, best practices, white papers, presentation, competency "tests", retreats, quality metrics, and roundtables. Period of Performance: October 1, 2011 - September 30, 2014 Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by September 15, 2011. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement by September 15, 2011; these will be evaluated by the government. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation documents are available and no telephone request will be honored.
