- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division located in Bethesda, MD has a requirement for the procurement of a handheld X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) Alloy Analyzer, and training on how to operate the XRF Alloy Analyzer. The requirement has two options, one option is for a fully shielded workstation, and the 2nd option is for the ability to operate the XRF Alloy Analyzer remotely by a computer connection or remote trigger. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with any additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a formal solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for Quotes in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 12 “ Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 “ Simplified Acquisitions. See the attached solicitation document N00167-11-T-0117 for requirements, clauses, and provisions applicable to this solicitation. It is the responsibility of the contractor to monitor FedBizOps (http://www.fbo.gov) for the issuance of any amendments to this solicitation. This requirement is for full and open competition and is released on an unrestricted basis. In order to be considered for award, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) database (www.ccr.gov) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) database (www.orca.bpn.gov) by the closing date of the solicitation. Quotes received from offerors not registered in both databases will not be considered. Questions/clarifications regarding this solicitation must be submitted via email to laura.rider@navy.mil. Questions submitted over the phone or submitted by any other means will not be answered. Quotes must be submitted directly to Laura Rider via email (laura.rider@navy.mil). Quote packages are due by 29 September 2011 by 10:00am EST. Quotes will not be accepted by any other means and late quotes will not be considered. A cover sheet must be included with each quote submission that includes the following information: 1)Name and company address 2) Point of Contact (name, telephone number, email address) 3) DUNS number 4) A technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award.
