- Description
- ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.5 to Inuktun USA, 23083 HWY 190 E Robert LA, 70455 for the purchase of a Tunnel Crawler system. This system has the capability of remote initial inspection of confined underground spaces. This system was previously developed by Inuktun to meet the unique requirements of the tunnel detection program; therefore Inuktun is the only provider of this system. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)-only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Inuktun is the only known source capable of meeting the Government's requirements due to the proprietary nature of the system. Organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 1:00 pm CST, Monday, 21 SEP 2011. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
