- Description
- The contractor will cut and remove all designated and marked spots from the power house to the end of the esplanade down stream. The contractor will then transport all the removed concrete to a designated area which will be discussed between the contractor and Lock Master or Work Leader at Green River Lock 2. The concrete will be cut using an industrial concrete saw. The places to be removed will be squared and smooth cut. The contractor will use a Jack Hammer at each section to ensure all concrete pieces are not to be over a 1 foot section of concrete. The contractor will ensure grade of new area will not be less than 6 inches deep and no more than 7 inches deep before new concrete is poured into area that was removed. Contractor will install dowels where possible to existing concrete. The dowels will extend at a minimum of 6 inches into new concrete pad. The grade of area to be poured will be compacted with a vibrating plate to ensure a hard even surface. The surface will be dry or with a minimum amount of moisture. The contractor pours a mixture of 4000 PSI with a fiber mixture back into vacant area. The contractor will barricade off area and esplanade where work is to be started and completed. The contractor will clean up work area and leave it in the condition the Lock was in before the work started. All work shall be completed by 31 December 2011.
