- ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.5 to Riegl USA INC 7035 Grand National Dr Ste 100, Orlando, FL 32819 for the purchase of a Riegl 3D Laser System. The Government has a requirement for a Laser System that is Class 1, has a sensing range of at least 400 meters, and has a ranging accuracy of +/- 2mm. The Riegl 3D Laser System is the only system capable of meeting the Governments unique requirements. Riegl USA INC is the only manufacturer and supplier of this system. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)-only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Riegl USA INC is the only known source capable of meeting the Government's requirements due to the proprietary nature of the above mentioned system. Organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 1:00 pm CST, Friday, 16 SEP 2011. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
