- CANCELLATION NOTICE:This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.The solicitation number is F2Y2AM1131A001A and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339943 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees.This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2011-08-17 16:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA 98433 The U.S. Army ACC MICC Joint Base Lewis-McChord requires the following items, Meet or Exceed, to the following: LI 001, Laser Engraver with compatible integrated Vector Cutting/ Vacuum Table, Filter System (Stand Alone), Compressor (Air Assist), and Graphics Software. The Laser Engraver shall meet the following specifications: Minimum 75 Watt Laser; 110 Volts single phase 15-30 amps power; 2 inch focus lens, rated up to 500 Watts; 75-1200 dots per inch (DPI) resolution; Red dot pointer. Able to fire the laser at the correct place at the correct time. Print driver with the ability to choose from many engraving features. Quality engraving from precise motion control system. Stainless steel bearings. Kevlar belts. Long lasting wave guide laser tubes. High speed servo motors. USB and Ethernet connections. Ability to engrave odd shaped items easily with simple settings. Integrated vector cutting/ vacuum table. Permanent job storage. Ability to delete jobs from laser. High resolution optics for detailed engraving. Digitally controlled, air cooled CO2 laser tubes, fully modular, permanently aligned and field replaceable. Store at least 20 jobs up to 2 MB each. Consistent beam across the engraving table. Minimum 24 inches x 18 inches engraving work area. Minimum engraving material thickness of 8.5 inches. Minimum engraving material thickness of 11 inches with table removed. Portable. Carriage free mode allows for lens to be moved freely by hand without using any special keys or control panel. The Filter System (Stand Alone) shall meet the following specifications: Charcoal filter system that does not require venting to outside atmosphere; 110 Volt power. Compressor (Air Assist) shall meet the following specifications: Capable of directing a constant stream of air to the cutting surface to remove heat and any combustible gases from work area; output shall be a minimum of 30 PSI; 110 Volt power. Graphics software shall meet the following specifications: brand name Corel Draw Graphics or equal; windows-based software; capable todesign engraving projects which typically consist of numbers/letters and images in various fonts/ sizes. Equipment shall be covered by a standard commercial warranty covering parts and labor for minimum period of 1 year from date of delivery. Vendor shall provide onsite equipment set-up and a minimum of 8 hours of onsite training at Joint Base Lewis-McChord for approximately 4 users on proper operation and maintenance of the equipment. Equipment delivery, set-up, and training shall be completed within 20 calendar days after the vendor receives the order. Vendor shall also provide free technical support by phone during normal business hours for a minimum period of 1 year following delivery., 1, EA; Solicitation and Buy Attachments ***Question Submission: Interested offerors must submit any questions concerning the solicitation at the earliest time possible to enable the Buyer to respond. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. Quotes will be evaluated based on price, technical acceptability and delivery. By submitting a quote the vendor certifies that the product quoted meets or exceeds all minimum requirements as stated in the Request for Quote. Price may not be the most important factor.
