Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) have a requirement to procure one (1) G: Box Chemi XT4 Gel Scanner from Synoptics - 5108 Pegasus Court, Suite M - Frederick, MD 21704. P/N: 05-GBOX-CHEMI-XT4 G: Box Chemi XT4 to include: • Series 5 Darkroom • TRUE 16 Bit, 4.2 mega pixel, -28C Absolute cooled camera • 6.3MP using Effective Pixel Technology (EPT) • Edge lighting READY • Fixed lens f0.95 for use w/motorized racking system • 7 position filter holder [with one UV filter] • UV Transilluminator 20x20 cm • LED Lighting gantry, For all ‘plug and play' LED modules • Epi White Light LED Module • EPI RGB viewing platform • Visible Light Converter • Neutral field screens • 8 copies Gene Tools Match analysis software • GeneSys image acquisition software The scanner from Synoptics offers the best sensitivity of the other scanners tested by the lab. The G: box also allows the best detection of very faint bands (suitable for insulin signaling, etc) as well as an automatic door lock preventing others from using the machine at the same time. The G: box is has the best user-friendly interface and analytical software (total of eight licenses to cover everyone) as well as is upgradable to perform fluorescence imaging. Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) package via email to: robinsti@mail.nih.gov prior to the closing date of this notice or before August 31, 2011 @ 10:00 am EST. It is anticipated that RFQ - NIH-NICHD-11-108 will be available seven (7) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due eight (8) days after the release of the RFQ. All requests for quotations must have a valid email address. Email quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and an authorized company representative signature.
