- The Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound intends to issue a modification to existing purchase order N00406-11-P-5926, awarded to Rix Industries, Benicia, CA, on 3 August 2011, using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed modification is for additional integral repair services to be performed for top end overhaul on two HPACs on board ship at Naval Base Kitsap Bangor, Silverdale, WA. Based on market research, Rix Industries, the original equipment manufacturer, is the only company that can fulfill the additional requirement. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested companies may submit their interest to the modification requirement by September 16, 2011.
