- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for FactoryLink SCADA/GUI Developmental Software. Siemens Energy & Automation is the authorized source of this software and owner of the proprietary data required. The FAA contemplates awarding a Purchase Order to fulfill this requirement. The FAA intends to solicit and negotiate only with Siemens Energy & Automation, Richardson, TX in accordance with AMS Policy 3.2.2.4. The determination to solicit and negotiate with only one firm is necessitated and supported by the fact that Siemens Energy & Automation owns the proprietary data rights associated with the software. The proprietary data rights exclusively available to Siemens Energy & Automation include all manufacturing specification data required for the License upgrade for DRPDS/CRPDS GUI development. This announcement is for information purposes only, not a request for proposals.
