- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a sole source purchase order to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in conjunction with Long Term Pavement Program (LTPP) for the Co-Sponsorship International Data Analysis Conference. ASCE will be conducting a comprehensive study on in-service pavements for a series of long term field experiments monitoring asphalt and Portland cement concrete pavement test sections across the United States. Additionally, ASCE will provide support, coordinate, and administer the LTPP data analysis program. ASCE will conduct outreach, marketing activities; convene administrative meetings as well as annual coordinate transportation to ASCE meetings being held throughout the year. ASCE will be providing the conference space, facilitators, and organizing their conference; they are considered the only source that can provide the services for their conference. All responsible sources may submit a response identifying their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The proposed contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is August 23, 2011.
