- This posting constitutes the United States Military Academy's (USMA) notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Applied Photophysics Ltd, 21 Mole Business Park, Leatherhead, KT22 7AG, United Kingdom. Applied Photophysics Ltd will provide SX20 Stopped-flow Spectrometer System to USMA in the estimated amount of $87,078.00. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1. USMA selected Applied Photophysics Ltd because the laboratory will need to assess the effectiveness of the aptamers they generate for military target molecules. The principle parameter will be the association and dissociation rate constants which must be measured using stopped flow instrument capable of detecting absorbance and fluorescence changes. The applicable NAICS code is 511210. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation or a solicitation of offers. Interested parties may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the designated representative. Responses to this notice must be received within three (3) calendar days of the date of this notice via e-mail to Rose.Cochran@usma.edu. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, upon receipt of response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. There will be no solicitation available.
