Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, VA-260-11-RQ-1784, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-43 effective August 2, 2010 and Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation Supplement (VAAR) current to January 7, 2010. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 332312, Size Standard: 500 Employees. This procurement is set aside for small businesses. Statement of Work Retrofit conversion of NCRAR Anechoic Chamber which was installed by ECKEL Noise Control Technologies. Retrofit will include enhancement of configuration to include installation of mounted chair on rail tracking system allowing access to chamber in compliance with American with Disabilities Act (ADA). Remove 24 wall wedges, portion of cable floor covering, portion of cable floor and a portion of floor wedges. Cross brace existing floor stands, add floor stands, replace floor wedges and replace cable floor. Fabricate and install rail sections, fabricate chair to rail system, install the chair to the system and then replace cable floor covering and replace wall wedges. Period of performance. Work to be completed within 12 weeks of award of purchase order.
