Description

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has a requirement for the acquisition of Ceradyne Defender 275 Plate Body Armor. Complete order is as follows: --Defender 275 SC X-Large (Quantity: 10) --Defender 275 SC Large (Quantity: 20) --Defender 275 SP, 6x6 (Quantity: 52) Full delivery of all items is requested to meet the delivery requirement (All or nothing). Quotes should include cost of freight shipping for all items. This is anticipated to be a sole source purchase order to Ceradyne, Inc., in accordance with FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The following FAR Part 12.3 provisions and clauses are applicable to this acquisition: --52.212-1 (June 2008), Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items --52.212-3 (Aug. 2009), Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items --52.212-4 (June 2010), Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items --52.212-5 (July 2010), Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items The Government anticipates the award of a single firm-fixed-price purchase order based on price. All sources shall submit a quotation which will be evaluated. Responses shall be submitted electronically to michael.m.manteuffel@usdoj.gov. All respondents will be considered by this agency. The deadline for questions is Friday, September 16, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. EST. Quotes shall be submitted by Monday, September 19, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. EST.
