- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N68836-11-T-0014 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. The requisition number used for this solicitation is V55460-1274-0014. This procurement is set aside small business. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-19. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 532412 and the business size standard is $7.0. Fleet Contracting Center, Naval Air Station Jacksonville FL intends to purchase the following line items: 0001 FORKLIFT SERVICE (01 OCT 2011 THROUGH 30 SEP 2012) UP TO 6 FORKLIFT RENTALS WITH 12 MONTHS MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE. FORKLIFTS WILL BE USED AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS ON NCBC GULFPORT. (5 EA) 5000 LB CUSHION FORKLIFTS AND (1 EA) 6000 LB HEAVY DUTY FORKLIFT, 42IN FORKS, TRIPLE STAGE MAST, BACKUP ALARM, TWO FORKLIFTS WILL NEED TO HAVE TIRES FOR TRACTION INDOOR AND OUTDOOR USE. NOTE: VENDOR MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A REPLACE FORKLIFT FOR EQUIPMENT THAT WILL BE DOWN FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME DUE TO MAINTENANCE. SCOPE OF WORK The United States Navy requires forklifts to move heavy material at Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport, MS. The following provides the minimum specifications required: 1.The contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment and supervision required to deliver and to setup forklifts. 2.Each forklift will be setup at various locations at Seabee Base Gulfport. a.Contractor will: i.Provide (1) 6000LB heavy duty forklift with outdoor tires. ii.Provide (5) 5000LB forklift for indoor/outdoor tires. iii.Provide fully operational forklifts with zero paint or body defects. iv.Perform all other repairs needed to bring each dumpster to like new condition. v.Ensure forklifts have backup lights and safety horn sounding when placed in reverse. vi.Ensure that seatbelts are operational. vii.Ensure that horn is operational. viii.Ensure all forklifts have fire extinguishers ™. ix.Conduct maintenance must be conducted on a regular basis. 3.The contractor will be notified about downed equipment immediately. The Government intends to make a single award to the eligible, responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation, and is the most advantageous to the Government considering price and price-related factors.
