- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Humphreys Engineer Center Support Activity intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Proquest, LLC for Proquest Deep Indexing Engineering, ProQuest Deep Indexing Environmental Sciences and ProQuest Deep Indexing Earth Sciences subscription service. ProQuest Deep Indexing: Engineering supplements the Engineering Research Database and related files with access to deep indexing for tables, figures, graphs, charts and other illustrations from the scholarly research and technical literature for selected records. ProQuest Deep Indexing: Environmental Sciences supplements the Environmental Sciences & Pollution Management Database and select related files with access to deep indexing for tables, figures, graphs, charts and other illustrations from the scholarly research and technical literature for selected records. ProQuest Deep Indexing: Earth Sciences supplements GeoRef with access to deep indexing for tables, figures, graphs, charts and other illustrations from the scholarly research and technical literature for selected records. Records from the database appear with searches of GeoRef to provide an additional path for discovery. This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2); "when the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source" However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within seven (7) days from the date of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will proceed with awarding a fixed price type contract to Proquest, LLC for engineering subscription services.
