- This announcement is to provide notification of the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to enter into a sole source agreement with HAAS Group International Inc., 1475 PHOENIXVILLE PIKE STE 101, West Chester, PA 19380-1437 for one (1) web based consolidated hazardous chemical and materials program. HAAS Group International Inc. will provide this web based program to the Buffalo/Batavia VA Medical Centers. The contractor shall provide a chemical management system that, in its entirety, fulfills the compliance requirements in 29 CFR 1910. 1200. The web based program will be tailored for hospitals and healthcare, and be an internet based program able to provide information on hazardous chemicals and materials by utilizing 36 universally recognized chemical categories and three (3) hazard levels (red-high, yellow-medium, green-low). The system will also provide the Department of Veterans Affairs DVD training and testing media based on the 36 universally recognized chemical categories. This will provide supervisors with the tools to conduct training in a classroom setting. This contract will be for a twelve month base period with four one-year option periods. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 541620 and the Small Business Standard is $7 million. Any interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide this web based consolidated hazardous chemical and materials program. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by September 11 at 1530hr. local time. Information should be sent to Michael Spivack, Contracting Officer, at Michael.Spivack@va.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received by the response date the Department of Veterans Affairs will proceed with the intended contract.
