- The purpose of this Amendment 0001 to this solicitation is to provide the following Questions & Answers: Question 1: It is not clear how the 4 sites in this solicitation should be connected. Please provide sources and destinations addresses for each location. Answer 1: The sites shall be connected via T-1 dedicated circuit point to point, no internet access required. The addresses for each location are provided in the solicitation. Question 2: It is not clear with the requirement is asking for Ethernet services or T1 services as the line items reference T1 lines and reference xx Mbps that implies Ethernet services? Please clarify. Answer 2: It's fiber optic, T-1. No internet access required. Mbps WAN. Question 3: Line items per site reference "Fiber Optic Transport Circuit", does this mean that the agency wants fiber handoff from the carrier? If so, please specify the physical standard ex..SC versus MIC. This level 3 of bandwidth would normally expect copper - twisted pair handoffs. Answer 3: Fiber Optic Transport Circuit. No pair of copper, no microwave or wireless service. Question 4: If Ethernet services are required, are Ethernet VPN services such as VPLS acceptable as a solution. This would allow a site or sites to connect to multiple sites via a single interface. Answer 4: No Ethernet service are required. Question 5: All of these circuits are in PR. Are there any circuits as part of this solicitation that have to come back to the mainland? Answer 5: No circuits to the mainland are required. Question 6: Would the DEA be willing to grant an extension given the short period of time given to respond? Answer 6: The DEA is not able to extend the closing date for this requirement.
