Description
The Alexandria VA Medical Center Contracting Office intends to solicit and award a contract to Automated Technologies Inc, for preventative maintenance, repair and inspection of FastPak EXP (automated pharmacy dispensing system) equipment located at the Alexandria VA Medical Center in Pineville, LA during the period of 01 Oct 11 through 30 Sep 12 plus 4 option years under authority of FAR 13.106-1(B) Solicitation from a Single Source. Automated Technologies is the OEM and will provide phone and remote support as well as onsite service to maintain the FastPak EXP Systems as well as software updates. The designated North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 811219 with a small business size standard of $7.0 Million. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. No solicitation will be published and telephone requests will not be accepted. Responses to this notice, if any, must show clear and convincing evidence that competition is attainable and more advantageous to the Government and be provided to the Contracting Officer within 7 days of the date of publication of this synopsis. This Notice of Intent to sole-source is the result of the approved Justification for other than Full and Open Competition and is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion and authority of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to solicit this requirement as a full & open competitive procurement. No reimbursement for any costs associated with providing capability statements will be provided by the VHA.
