- Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Activity, VISN 22 5901 E 7th Street Long Beach CA 90822 Senior Scientist for VA Loma Linda Health Care Research Service Eileen Shirey, Purchasing Agent, NCA VISN 22, intendes to negotiate a commercial FAR (Part 12) Sole source procurement with Dr Richard Weisbart, located at 9621 Lockford St, Los Angeles, Ca 90035. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-38. A justification for sole source has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This BOS announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. Request for Quotation is RFQ VA 262-11-RQ-1099. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541690 and the small business size standard is 7.0 Million. The Contractor shall perform mentoring to junior research investigators at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare for a period of 1 year, 10/1/2011 through 09/30/2012. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government shall consider all proposals received by 1500 Pacific Standard Time September 20, 2011. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries shall be accepted.
