- Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS) paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis for the FAA's William J. Hughes Technical Center decision to award a single-source Purchase Order to OPNET TECHNOLOGIES, INC. via single source procedures. This procurement is considered to be single-source based on the proprietary nature of the technology and configuration. Procurement is for the renewal of maintenance agreements for both hardware and software licenses. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. If your firm does not agree with this single source determination, please provide evidence of your firm's capabilities and experience in providing the above service. The FAA will evaluate this accordingly. All responses to this announcement must be directed to William Bleda no later than 3:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time, September 117, 2011.
