- Brand Name/Sole Source Justification Notice of intent to award a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13) and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice is for information only, a solicitation will not be issued. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 443120, Computer and Software Stores with a size standard of $25.5M. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to negotiate a sole source contract for Annual software subscription and support for existing Men & Mice DNS, DHCP, IPAM software from Software House International. The Government believes Software House International is the only source/reseleer that will satisfy the agency requirements. Corresponding Brand Name/Sole Source Justification is attached. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes that it can meet the specifications above may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to USDA ITS Contracting Branch, ATTN: Josh Tafoya, 2150 Centre Ave., Bldg. A, Ste. 145, Fort Collins, CO 80526 or sent by email to josh.tafoya@ftc.usda.gov. Responses to this notice must be submitted by the date/time listed on the notice. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government anticipates an award date on or about 1 Oct 2011. Response to this synopsis is not required.
