- Description
- The US Army Medical Command Southeast Region has a requirement for 1 each Endoscopy Surgical Virtual Reality Simulator system and 1 each EBUS upgrade for and existing system. Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the Government intends to award a sole source contract for this requirement. The suggested contractor is CAE Healthcare USA Inc., 85 Nicholson Lane, San Jose, CA 95134-1366. 1 each Endoscopy AccuTouch Full System, high-fidelity, computer based virtual reality simulation system for Endobronchial Ultrasound Guided Transbronchial Needle Aspiration (EBUS-TBNA), Pediatric/Difficult Airways, Introduction to Bronchoscopy, Bronchoalveolar Lavage, Endobronchial Sampling, Transbronchial Needle Aspiration, Introduction to Colonoscopy, Colon Biopsy, and Colon Polypectomy, EGD, ERCP, and Upper GI Bleeding, all in one system. Dual monitor (each 22 inch) set up that allows for up to 6 different split screens that show endoscopic navigation, endobronchial ultrasound imaging, 3-D transparency view, vital signs, CT scans, and simulation tips simultaneously, enhancing and facilitating the users' capabilities. Must have a minimum of 8 completely different EBUS-TBNA cases with varying anatomies and affected lymph node stations; simulates color doppler, underlying anatomy, lymph node station labeling, and multi-layer, transparent graphics views for the Endobronchial ultrasound procedure. The Endoscopy VR system must be able to be raised and lowered electronically to meet the ergonomic requirements of each user. Must have software modules for Pediatric/Difficult Airways, Endobronchial Ultrasound Guided Transbronchial Needle Aspiration (EBUS-TBNA), Introduction to Bronchoscopy, Bronchoalveolar Lavage, Endobronchial Sampling, Transbronchial Needle Aspiration Introduction to Colonoscopy, Colon Biopsy, and Colon Polypectomy, EGD, ERCP, and Upper GI Bleeding. Must have administrative capabilities to set up individual user accounts, grouping, and curriculum development. Must have imbedded didactic training videos, animations, education, and instructions. 1 each EBUS Upgrade for non-EBUS ready ES system - ESM403H, includes 2 x 22" flat screen monitors, mounts, brackets and hardware; Computer; EBUS tool kit; Bronch oral entry anatomy; harness; cables and database transfer bundle. (Prior to delivery, system functionality must be verified.) This is not a request for proposal and no solicitation will be issued. However, companies that can provide an equal or like product must submit their technical capabilities to include technical specifications of their product, past performance information, price and delivery time within seven (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. This information will be reviewed by the Government technical representatives for consideration for future requirements. This procurement will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
